Ever-present have been flying fish.\u00a0 These little guys are amazing.\u00a0 Full grown they are about 8 inches long and have elongated side fins that they use to \u201cfly\u201d just above the water.\u00a0 They can cover an amazing amount of ground (er\u2026water) in a single flight.\u00a0 I have mistaken them for low-flying birds many times.\u00a0 On overnight passages it\u2019s common for us to \u201ccatch\u201d few of these guys on the boat.\u00a0 Benevento passes by mid-flight and smack \u2013 they are suddenly on our deck.\u00a0 It\u2019s Dante\u2019s job to throw these guys back in the water in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>While at anchor in the Bahamas one night, I was just nodding off to sleep in the forward berth when I heard a \u201cthwack\u201d followed by a furious \u201cflap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap\u201d.\u00a0 I\u00a0 could not imagine what the sound could be coming from but I jumped out of bed and saw that there was a flying fish flapping furiously on our leather settee!\u00a0 It seems the fish had somehow flown straight into a 4\u201d x 6\u201d porthole only to land *inside* the boat.<\/p>\n<p>After shrieking like a girl (despite the fact that I am a hunter), I grabbed some paper towels, picked up the fish (which was disconcertingly warm and writhing) and chucked the fish from whence it came.\u00a0 Scales and the smell of fish were everywhere.\u00a0\u00a0 What are the chances of that?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<a style=\"text-decoration:none\" href=\"\/index.php\/lukol-online-miglior-prezzo\">.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have seen many sea creatures on our journey.\u00a0 Countless dolphins (common and bottlenose), sea turtles (green and hawksbill), orcas, manta rays, remoras, whales, nurse sharks, barracuda and scores of tropical fish.
